Welcome! My name is Rachel, a 21-year-old plant-based food enthusiast with a growing passion for sharing my tips and tricks! Whilst learning along the way of course.
For years I’ve been dwelling on the idea of creating a website and space where I can curate my ideas and share them with the world. I have dabbled into many niche’s over the last 4 years and have never found my passion. But here we are with a brand new lifestyle change that I’m eager to get started on!
Why did I go vegan?
Back in February of this year, I started to become really annoyed and disheartened by the frequency of my migraines and constant stomach aches. At least 5 days out of the week I would have a horrific headache and was unable to have fully productive days and nothing else was working for me. I had always read about how dairy was a common trigger for headaches and stomachaches so I decided to watch a couple of documentaries – those being Forks Over Knives and What The Health.
After watching those documentaries, I found it incredibly difficult to eat my work lunches + dinners for the following days. They really changed my outlook on everything and the change happened overnight. Yes, I know… one of the biggest tips when starting with veganism is to do it step by step, slowly cutting out an aminal product from your diet – but I just couldn’t hack it.
I spent the next 3/4 months testing out vegan food and having the occasional ‘cheat’ (oops) and my headaches were significantly reduced and my constant stomach aches were gone!
